Chief

Tim Houslet

Tim joined the fire department in 1975 and is only the 4th Chief since the department was organized in January of 1956.Tim is responsible for the many upgrades in equipment that the department has obtained in the last 15 years due in large part to his diligent research and straight-forward presentation of department needs to the Fire District Board.  Tim is the full-time Director for Marquette County Emergency Medical Services.  He has been the driving force behind the planning and development of the new fire station.

Assistant Chief

Stephen Klump

Steve joined the fire department in 1975 and is a second generation member. Steve is a "problem-solver", as well as a mechanic and key leader in rescue and hazardous materials operations.  Steve also works closely with fire inspections, fire prevention and training.

Karl Spath

Karl joined the department officially when he turned 18 in 1986, though if you could count the years that he hung around as a youngster, he would probably have another 10 years.  Karl is largely responsible for equipment research, testing and purchase, along with training.

John Fisher

John joined the department in 1987. John is responsible for the departments vehicles, as well as a key member of the fire prevention team. His daughter is a member of the department and in about a year, his son will have completed his certification and will be joining.  John’s wife Karen is the lead EMT in charge of Marquette County EMS 81, which is housed at the Oxford Fire Station

Brian Jungenberg

Brian joined the department in 1980 and is the son of the late Earl Jungenberg, who served as the third Chief of the Oxford Fire department.  Brian’s daughter Stephanie is also a member of the department.

Jason Zacharias

Jason is the youngest of the management team, joining the department in 2001.
